  • Concrete is a combination of a) water, b) cement, c) small aggregate [sand], and d) large aggregate [gravel, rocks & stones].

  • Water 'kick starts' the process to make the cement become glue for the aggregates (hydration).

  • High-Cycle Vibrators have the electric power source inside the vibrating head and are used for demanding applications of low-slump concrete and extended depths requiring long shaft lengths such as retaining walls, tilt-up walls, dams, columns, etc. With the motor mounted directly to the eccentric inside the head, there is essentially no friction loss due to long shaft lengths.
  • Flexible Shaft Vibrators are by far the most commonly used internal vibrator for floors, pavements, narrow walls, heavily reinforced concrete, etc. Flex shaft vibrators are driven by either an electric motor or a gasoline engine or hydraulics to turn a flexible shaft that rotates an eccentric inside the steel (rubber covered option) head to vibrate the concrete. Flex-shaft vibrators are either hand-held, back-pack or machine-mounted design.
