ALLEN ENGINEERING CELEBRATES ITS 50TH ANNIVERSARY

1964

Allen-Hardin Redi-Mix established in Piggott, AR. This company became Allen Engineering Corporation

1968

Bought Allen-Hickson Ready-Mix Plant in Paragould, AR - same location as Allen Mfg. Plant now stands

1970

Began concrete pumping operation

1974-75

Sold all ready-mix and sand/gravel operations in Northeast Arkansas

1976

Dewayne Allen and family moved to Houston, TX. Introduced to screeds

1977

Moved back to Paragould, AR - began manufacturing Screed, Fine Graders and Spreaders

1977

First World of Concrete Exhibit. Have exhibited in every WOC since.
Name changed to Allen Engineering Corporation

1978

Introduced Power Sprayers.

1979

First international business

1981

Introduced Model 12 oscillating Bridge Deck Finisher

1982

Introduced Walk-Behind Trowels

1983

Began emphasis on bridge contracting work to go along with commercial contracting division

1985

Introduced Roller Tube Finisher

1985

Introduced Aluminum Truss "quick screed"

1987

Introduced first Riding Trowel

1987

Introduced Model 36 Air Screed

1988

Started Promoting Dipsticks for measuring floor flatness

1989

Produced the first Triple roller Tube Pavers

Introduced "flying frame" Riding Trowels

First to place Steel Pans (Floating Discs) under Riding Trowels

Introduced the Magic Screed

1995

First Allen Concrete College held in Paragould

1996

Manufactured Model 6036 Bridge Deck Finisher with gang vibration

Introduced "Green" Concrete Saw and Triple Trowel

Introduced hydraulic power steering on Riding Trowels

Celebrated 35th Anniversary

Sold first Slip Form Paver

Introduced hydraulic rotor drive on Riding Trowels

Fire destroys majority of AEC factory. Industry rallies in support of company

2005

Operating in new and improved factory by year end

2007

Jay Allen becomes AEC President. Dewayne is CEO/Chairman

2010

Purchased Miller Power Buggy Line

Received Arkansas Governor's Award for Excellence in Global Trade

2012

Re-branded all products under the Allen brand and red color

Introduced the V.P. (Value Premium) line of walkers

Exhibited at our 35th consecutive World of Concrete

Launced the all-new track buggy line
